Karlshamn – historic city and important port in southern Sweden. The port city developed in the 17th century on the site of a Danish port. Like all southern Swedish cities, Karlshamn has preserved the memory of the conflicts between Sweden and Denmark. The city has many attractions, the most important of them is the very grid layout of the city blocks at the time of the founding of the city.
