Puttgarden — a ferry port on the most important trade route between Germany and Scandinavia, known since antiquity. In the Middle Ages, this route was one of the key routes in the Hanseatic League.

The ferry service from Puttgarden is provided by Scandlines. Flights leave every half hour around the clock, travel time — 45 minutes. All ferries are comfortable, there are cafes, restaurants, children's playgrounds and stores on board.

Ticket prices vary depending on the season. High season from the end of May to the end of August, from mid-October to the first half of November and at Christmas. You can carry up to 9 passengers on any vehicle, and up to 3 passengers on a motorcycle.

The ticket for the crossing of a car with the economy fare starts from 40 euros in the low season and from 67 euros in high season, pedestrians can cross for 10 euros in the low season and 18 euros in high season. With flexible fare car crossing will cost from 120 euros in low season and from 140 euros in high season. In addition you can save by buying round trip one-day tickets, mini-break tickets in both directions valid for up to 4 days, discounts and club cards.

The company also offers attractive combination tickets, allowing to travel to Sweden via Denmark via Puttgarden-Rodby-Eresun Bridge-Malmö and Puttgarden-Rodby-Helsingør (where Prince Hamlet lived) and then by ferry to Sweden's Helsingborg. The low season tickets start at €90, high season tickets start at €120.

Puttgarden Port

The well-developed port of Puttgarden can be reached from the airports in Lübeck (100km) or Hamburg (150km) or by high-speed train from Berlin to Copenhagen.
