In the Italian province of Naples, on the island of Ischia, there is a small village of Casamicciola Terme. It is famous for its thermal springs, lush forests and scenes of inexpressible beauty.

This port is considered one of the most sought after on the island of Ischia. From it it is possible to depart to the maritime harbors of Pozzuoli, Ponza, Ventotene, Naples and Procida. Casamicciola Terme is served by three ferry operators.
- Medmar. It is on the list of the largest ferry service companies in the Gulf of Naples. Every year about 1.8 million tourists use Medmar services. In view of the demand for the destinations, it is worth booking a ticket for a flight in advance. The operator's ships leave 16 times a week for the port of Pozzuoli (duration 60 minutes). There are quite a few flights to Procida Island – there are 9 messages weekly. The crossing takes 40 minutes.
- Caremar. Passengers of the company can count on maximum comfort. The ferry operator offers the possibility to reach Pozzuoli (7 messages per week, crossing duration – 1 hour 10 minutes), Procida (14 trips, 30 minutes) and Naples (7 messages, 1 hour 35 minutes).
- SNAV. The ferry operator operates regular voyages on the Gulf of Naples, connecting mainland Naples with many islands. Every week, five ferries depart from the port of Casamicciola Terme to the island of Ponzo. The duration of the crossing is 1 hour and 50 minutes. There are also five ships in Ventotene. The crossing takes less than an hour. The most flights to Procida – 29 crossings per week. This is a very fast way to get to the island, because you spend no more than 20 minutes on the ferry.
Tickets for the ferry can be booked at least one month before the crossing. It is better to do it in advance.
Infrastructure of the port of Casamicciola Terme
There are three marinas on the island of Ischia. One of them – Casamicciola Terme. Next to the harbor there is a beautiful promenade. There are also many cafes, restaurants and hotels. You can get to this port from mainland Italy by ferry. There are only two bus routes on the island, and each of them stops at the port of Casamicciola.
The marina of Casamicciola Terme is the second largest in Ischia. It is a site with quite a developed infrastructure, so tourists will find something to see there.
