Ferry service from Karlskrona

The highly rugged coastline of Scandinavia, the abundance of skerries and deep fiords make the ferry an indispensable means of communication. Karlskrona, founded as a military harbor, has evolved over time into a major ferry port in the Baltic. The main ferry operator of the port, Stena Line — one of the largest ferry companies in the world, introduced a computer-based ticket reservation system back in 1972.

The main ferry route from Karlskrona — to the Polish port of Gdynia, the crossing takes about 10 hours, there are 2-3 times a day and usually 17 trips a week. A ticket for one passenger with a car starts at 88 euros, for a passenger without a car — from 35 euros, for two passengers with a car — from 133 euros. There are economy class, flexible or premium fares, discounts for pensioners and other categories, seasonal discounts. The ticket price depends on the size of the car, type of ferry and time of departure. To save on travel, it is better to book ferry tickets in advance. Passengers and cars must be checked in at least one hour before ferry departure.

All Stena Line ferries are comfortable, you can choose your cabin and there are spas, restaurants and stores on board.

Karlskrona port

Carlskrona Ferry Terminal can be reached from Ronneby Airport — it is 30 km away, but only accepts domestic flights and requires a connection in Stockholm. From Stockholm to Karlskrona you can also get by train or car, but the way is not a short — about 530 km. The international ferry terminal has a developed infrastructure, but is remote from the city center, and there is a ferry terminal of domestic lines in the center next to the naval museum.
